Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

We are Junior Achievement (Young Enterprise) Malta Foundation’, hereafter referred to as ‘JA Malta’ – a Non-Governmental Organisation, VO 07/05, based in Malta with a registered address at 1 Clock Tower Building, Tigne Point, Sliema.

JA Malta does not have its own VAT Number, however we have a collective VAT Number for all JA mini-companies, under Article 11.

The collective VAT Number shared by all JA mini-company teams is 27872621.

When you shop with us (or access our services, social media pages, and websites (our “Websites”), the following terms apply. The purpose of these terms is to set out what we expect from each other and to provide helpful information. Should you require further information, please feel free to get in touch with our Support Team at any point – we would love to hear from you!

Placing an Order

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Should there be an issue with an order, the JA mini-company/team (vendor) will get in touch with you.

Delivery

Delivery is the responsibility of each vendor. Vendors work hard to try to meet all delivery times but sometimes there may be delays due to issues that are out of their control, namely postal/carrier delays, logistics, or bad weather. Kindly contact the respective JA mini-company for updates on the whole delivery process.

 Fair Use

In the eventuality that an unusual and regular pattern of returns activity is noted, we might have to deactivate the account and any associated accounts. If this happens to you, and you think we’ve made a mistake, please get in touch with Support and we’ll happily discuss this further with you. If your account has been deactivated, and you need to make a valid return, please contact Support. Please note, we reserve the right to take legal action against you if the items you return don’t match what you ordered.

This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.

Your Personal Data and Information

Our Data Protection and Privacy Policy sets out how we’ll use your information. If your details change, please remember to update the ‘My Account’ area (you can also update your marketing preferences there).

We love being able to interact with and chat with you through social media. However, we can’t control social media platforms, or how you set your profiles on them. Please check and set your privacy settings so that you understand and are comfortable with how your personal information on those platforms will be used.

Things You Shouldn’t Do

We know it’s obvious, but you must not misuse or tamper with our websites, apps, or other services (“Websites”) (e.g., hack, introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or other technologically harmful material or carry out denial of service attacks, etc.) or otherwise mess with our tech or functionality or steal our or our customers’ data. We will report any such breach or activity (and all information about the people carrying it out) to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

We recommend you use virus protection software when using any website, including ours. Although we have a dedicated team that works hard to stop people messing with our Website, we can’t guarantee that it will always be secure from bugs, viruses, or trouble-makers.

You are not allowed to use automated systems or software to extract data from our Website (AKA ‘screen scraping’).

Trouble-makers take note: you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless JA Malta, its directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates, from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages, and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use (or misuse) of this Website or your breach of the Terms and Conditions.

It is acceptable for you to link to ‘JA Malta’, as long as you do so in a way that is non-commercial, is fair and legal, and doesn’t damage or take advantage of our reputation.

Our Website must not be framed on any other site without our permission.

Summary

The JA Marketplace is a space in which students, participating in JA’s flagship Company Programme, can exhibit their products as part of their project.

We (JA Malta) do not house, ship, or deliver their goods, and assume no responsibility in this regard.

Each JA Company Programme team is responsible for the storage, shipping and delivery of their product/service, and all payment and other disputes are to be settled with the respective team.

JA Malta makes no money from this endeavour – 100% of the income generated through the JA Marketplace goes to the respective teams, and no such income is run through our site in any capacity.

All transfers of funds are to occur directly with the respective Company Programme vendors.

By using this site, you confirm that you agree with the above stipulations, and will abide by them.
